brown paper packages…

I love this song… such a classic, and I felt like it made for a great vintagey print.  I did this for the theme of my sister’s bridal shower and I think it turned out great. She never actually saw one, so I don’t know her opinion on it… maybe I’ll send her this link so she can finally get a peek!

When I made mine, I printed it on brown cardboard-colored cardstock and it turned out so cute, I thought.  I’ve put it on here with both a white background so that you could print it on whatever color you would like, and also with a brown background so you can sent it to costco and still have a brown background.

And here’s your link so you can print them with high quality:

Super Sunday

I’m doing Feel Great in 8 right now, which is an 8 week diet/exercise program to a healthier you. Each of the eight weeks starts on Monday and goes through Sunday.  So, as I see it, I’m not late on this post… I’m just adjusting my life to the Monday-Sunday calendar life!

Well, I went to church today, and because my two year old was sick and I had to teach nursery, I got to go while my husband stayed home with my wee “angel.”  This meant that for the most part, I actually got to hear sacrament meeting!  It was high council Sunday and both the High Councilman and his wife talked about simplifying our lives, focusing on what is important.  He gave a great quote by Leonardo da Vinci that I really liked, and thought “ah, that’s what I need to make today.”  So, without further ado..

Its definitely October in our house, so I decided that it was about time I make something Halloween-ish.  After getting out my Halloween decorations and realizing that where I had enough for my last tiny apartment, this slightly larger apartment is still way too cheery for this time of year.  As I tend to be somewhat indecisive, I put all four options on here for you to choose… white background, black background, jack o lantern, and no jack o lantern.  Hopefully one of them fits your style!  Enjoy!

lucky day!

Well I’m feeling a bit giving today… my friend asked me to come up with a design for a quote she likes “together we make a family” which is going around the internet right now, I guess.  So, its your lucky day because instead of just posting one of my ideas for her, I’m going to post 5 of them!  Take note:  I was not quite certain of her style, so I kind of tried to do something in each genre, if you will, of design.  Including what I like to call “1990 boy band t-shirt” style.  You never know… maybe she was a HUGE NKOTB fan.  Maybe she had the bedding set, a belt buckle, a patch for her back pack, pins, all the CDs, all the animated videos as well as the music videos, a crimper and garb to dress up and perform their dances on the “strip” in Reno at 2 in the morning on a Saturday night with her roommates… I mean… not that I would know what that was like.  Just a shot in the dark there.  I’ve never done such a thing.  Ever.   Just because I STILL dream about being Joey’s and/or Jordan’s Cover Girl does NOT mean that I was flashing back to my glory days in the middle of a professional blog post. (awkward). Anyway…

And remember, these are poor quality images to keep the blog’s memory down.  To get a printable quality version of any of these designs, click below:
